Welcome to the Victorian Fossickers Club
The Victorian Fossickers Club is a recreational prospecting and fossicking group. Our members detect for gold, coins, gemstones and relics, pan/sluice for gold or just enjoy the company and outdoor experience. Our friendly group of detectorists and panners will help you up-skill your metal detecting or panning, so you can enjoy fossicking for gold in Victoria.
Monthly Outings
The Victorian Fossickers Club conducts outings to various goldfields on a monthly basis (February to November), on either the 1st weekend of the month or a long weekend whenever possible. A bush campsite is selected, and members use their own tents or caravans. Your own transport and camping equipment is essential. Members, guests and visitors and reminded that they are solely responsible for the safety of both themselves and their equipment. The Club has no insurance for personal injury or loss.
Memberships
$50 per year (+$5 joining fee) single or family*
Meet 4th Thursday of Month @ 8pm. Feb – Nov.
Lillydale Lake Community Room, 433 Swansea Road, Lilydale. Enter via Swansea Rd entrance to Lillydale Lake.
Visitors are welcome to attend any one meeting and one club camp, to assure themselves that the club is the right fit for them prior to becoming a financial member. Members also receive our monthly newsletter, The Fossickers Follies.
The membership year commences on the 1st of July each year.
*Family of up to two adults and any children under 18.
